Valérie Carreau, a pianist, composer, and teacher originally from Montreal, is a graduate of École de musique Vincent-d’Indy and of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She teaches piano in her private studio, at École de musique Regina Assumpta, and teaches music at Léonard-De Vinci Elementary School in Montreal. Her creativity and passion for music make her a highly regarded teacher. Her piano compositions have won several awards and are performed in exams, festivals, and piano competitions. Her piano album Le vent se lève is regularly featured on Radio-Classique.
Valérie Carreau is a sought-after adjudicator for piano competitions and exams at École de musique Vincent-d’Indy, École préparatoire de musique de l’UQAM, and at Académie de musique du Québec. She also gives lectures and masterclasses.
Valérie Carreau wishes to inspire young pianists of any age and encourage them to develop their pleasure in playing the piano.
