Open to young Canadian musicians aged 5 to 23 and up to 30 for singers, our festival provides a prestigious stage for those aspiring to excel in the classical music realm.
Each participant benefits from the expertise of renowned teachers, members of the Quebec Music Teachers’ Association, ensuring a top-tier educational experience.
The Festival highlights the young musicians’ commitment and the mastery they have developed throughout their training. Each performance reflects the excellence of the skills passed on by their teachers.
Dear Friends of the Festival
I am very pleased to announce the 2026 edition of the Montreal Classical Music Festival. Promising young musicians will share their hard work, passion and dedication to music with the broader public, while teachers and students alike will have the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from judges who are highly regarded in their field. This is a highlight of the year for the Quebec Music Teachers Association, and I am very excited to hear many of our students perform. I look forward to seeing you and your students at the performances in May, and at the gala concert in June!
David Potvin, Coordinator of the FCMF
