Marie-Ève St-Laurent holds several diplomas in classical piano with Distinction from the École de musique Vincent-d’Indy (extracurricular program), as well as a diploma from the McGill Conservatory of Music (extracurricular program). She also holds a Diploma of College Studies (D.C.S.) in Pre-University Music (501.A0) from the École de musique Vincent-d’Indy, which she obtained in 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) with a concentration in Music Pedagogy from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2013. At the same time as completing her Bachelor of Music degree, she pursued studies in the Bachelor of Music Education program for elementary and secondary teaching at Université Laval. She also pursued studies in the Bachelor of Secondary Education (Social Studies) program at the Université de Sherbrooke. In addition, she holds a college certificate in Introduction to Music Pedagogy from the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup, obtained in October 2025. She is currently a second-year student in the Master of Music in Choral Conducting (M.Mus.) program at the Université de Sherbrooke under the direction of Robert Ingari. Finally, during the summer of 2026, Marie-Ève obtained a certificate of training from the Académie de direction chorale jeunesse.
This pianist is also a music teacher and substitute teacher in Quebec elementary schools. To date, she has accumulated 12 years of experience in several elementary schools on Montreal’s South Shore, including schools in the Grandes-Seigneuries, Hautes-Rivières and Marie-Victorin school service centres. In elementary schools, Marie-Ève teaches music at all preschool and elementary levels. She teaches several musical instruments to her students, including keyboard, voice, ukulele, guitar, recorder, concert band, music appreciation, and percussion.
In addition, Ms. St-Laurent has 17 years of experience teaching piano, music theory, and early childhood music. At the beginning of her career, she taught piano in extracurricular music schools, but she now teaches piano from her home. Her goal is to open her own music school, which she has already begun to establish.
Finally, in addition to her career as a music and piano teacher, Marie-Ève has been a soprano chorister with the Chœur Métropolitain (Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal) under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin since 2013. Each year, she has the opportunity to participate in several concerts, including performances at the Maison symphonique de Montréal.
