Hunt

Sandra Hunt holds a master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Alberta, where she studied with Dr. Ernesto Lejano. She also studied pedagogy and performance at the Victoria Conservatory for four years under Robin Wood. After winning the Club Austria Competition, she attended the Salzburg Mozarteum summer program in 1975. Grants from the Canada Council and Alberta Heritage enabled her to study at the Lübeck Hochschule and at the Banff Centre, where she eventually became a repetiteur for the Banff Opera program and a coach for the Gifted Youth Program.

Ms. Hunt taught at the University of Saskatchewan for four years before moving to Montreal. Since 1985, Sandra has worked with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra as accompanist and pianist, and has served as Director of Music at the Unitarian Church of Montreal since 1987. Since 2020, she has been the pianist and coach for the Ensemble de violoncelles de Montréal.

She can prepare her students for examinations in any program or institution.

Sandra Hunt détient une maîtrise en interprétation piano de l’Université de l’Alberta, où elle a étudié avec le Dr Ernesto Lejano. Elle a également suivi pendant quatre ans des cours de pédagogie et d’interprétation au Victoria Conservatory sous la direction de Robin Wood. Après avoir remporté le Club Austria Competition, elle a participé au programme d’été du Mozarteum de Salzbourg en 1975. Des bourses du Conseil des Arts du Canada et de la Fondation Alberta Heritage lui ont permis de poursuivre ses études à la Lübeck Hochschule et au Banff Centre, où elle est devenue répétitrice pour le programme d’opéra de Banff et coach pour le Gifted Youth Program.

Elle a enseigné à l’Université de la Saskatchewan pendant quatre ans avant de s’installer à Montréal. Depuis 1985, Mme Hunt travaille avec l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal comme accompagnatrice et pianiste, et elle est directrice musicale de l’Église unitarienne de Montréal depuis 1987. Depuis 2020, elle est pianiste et coach pour l’Ensemble de violoncelles de Montréal.

Elle peut préparer ses élèves aux examens, quel que soit le programme ou l’institution.
