Richard Raymond a travaillé avec des maîtres tels que Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Marc Durand, Lise Boucher et Antoine Reboulot. Lauréat des prestigieux concours internationaux de piano Vianna da Motta (Macao, 1999), William Kapell (États-Unis, 1998) et Van Cliburn (1993), il a également remporté de nombreux prix au Canada, dont le prestigieux prix du Concours international de Montréal, triomphant devant plus de 49 concurrents venus de divers pays. Il est également récipiendaire du prix Virginia-Parker (1998), décerné par le Conseil des arts du Canada en reconnaissance de sa contribution exceptionnelle au milieu musical.

Sur la scène internationale, il a joué en Allemagne, en Chine, aux États-Unis, à Taïwan, au Mexique, au Brésil, en Géorgie, en Italie et en France. Au Canada, ses concerts sont toujours accueillis avec le plus grand enthousiasme, et il s’est produit avec tous les grands orchestres canadiens.

M. Raymond occupe actuellement un poste de professeur au Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. Plusieurs de ses étudiants se sont distingués lors de grands concours internationaux, notamment Bruce Liu et Charles Richard-Hamelin.

Mr. Raymond studied with distinguished masters such as Leon Fleisher, John Perry, Marc Durand, Lise Boucher, and Antoine Reboulot. He won the prestigious international piano competitions Vianna da Motta (Macau, 1999), William Kapell (United States, 1998), and Van Cliburn (1993), and he also received numerous awards in Canada, including the Montreal International Music Competition, triumphing over more than 49 competitors from various countries. He received the Virginia-Parker Prize (1998) from the Canada Council for the Arts in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the musical community.

Internationally, he performed in Germany, China, the United States, Taiwan, Mexico, Brazil, Georgia, Italy, and France. In Canada, his performances drew the highest acclaim, and he appeared with all major Canadian orchestras.

Mr. Raymond currently holds a teaching position at the Montreal Conservatory of Music. Several of his students won top prizes at international competitions, including Bruce Liu and Charles Richard-Hamelin.
