Bio

Nadine Thiruchelvam began piano lessons at the age of four in her hometown of Stratford, Ontario. After studying in Edmonton, she pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and continued at McGill University as part of the Artist Diploma program. Her interest in Spanish and Latin American repertoire recently led her to Barcelona, where she completed a Specialization in Spanish Music at the Acadèmia Marshall under the guidance of Montserrat Santacana and Alicia de Larrocha. Nadine has also participated in masterclasses in Banff, Orford, and Weimar (Germany).

Since 1998, Nadine has been an established collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and teacher in Montréal. She is also an accomplished soloist, adjudicator, and an accredited music therapist, working with diverse populations, including children with autism and older adults with dementia.
