Hadwen

Mary Hadwen Carter, a summa cum laude graduate in piano performance from the University of Ottawa, is a pianist and active teacher in Montréal, managing her private studio Méloidia Piano. Passionate about sharing the love of music, she has been teaching for over eight years, guiding students of all ages in developing their skills and personal musical style.

She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in recitals, masterclasses, and festivals, including the Waterloo Music Festival Quartetfest, and has given concerts in recital halls, churches, and senior residences in Ottawa, Montréal, and Des Moines, Iowa.

Outside of music, Mary enjoys hiking, cycling, and birdwatching, often drawing inspiration from the sounds of nature.
