Joan P. F. Liang is a piano and music theory teacher based in Brossard, Quebec, with over 30 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Composition from Taipei National University of the Arts. Her degree was evaluated by World Education Services (WES) as equivalent to a Canadian master’s degree.
Her teaching integrates piano technique and repertoire with musicianship, including music theory, harmony, ear training, analysis, and musical understanding. She has extensive experience teaching students of different ages, from beginner through advanced levels, and preparing them for examinations, competitions, and performances.
Joan continues her professional development through advanced private piano study with Professor Martin Karlíček of McGill University. She is also active in community music in the Greater Montreal area, including choir training and chamber music coaching.
