Born in China, Mimi moved to Canada at the age of four and has been playing piano ever since. Although she initially found the preparation for piano examinations very rigorous, she came to understand the significance of goal setting and perfectionism that the instrument instills. Mimi believes that passion in music comes from a strong foundation in musical theory and technique and hopes to share this appreciation for music with her students. When it comes to learning piano, she stresses the importance of practice and dedication which enriches the learning experience and builds commitment longterm.
