Issid

Since 2000, Frédéric Issid has shared his passion for the piano through teaching, composition, and performance. In 2024, he gave private lessons in Valencia, Spain, and participated in various musical projects, including teaching English pronunciation to opera singers at the Palau de les Arts. He also taught at the Conservatory of Lliria in Valencia in 2019 and served as an affiliated professor at the Vincent-d’Indy School of Music and the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in 2014. Between 2007 and 2014, he contributed to the Père-Lindsay Music Camp.

An accomplished artist, he has performed as a soloist with the Romanian Symphony Orchestra and the West Island Orchestra of Montreal. He has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Prix d’Europe in 2007 in Montreal, several first prizes at the Montreal Classical Music Festival, the McGill Conservatory Concerto Competition, and the Spring Festival of the Quebec Music Teachers’ Association (APMQ). He has also participated in and organized numerous piano competitions and recitals and has served as a guest judge at Canadian Music Week and the Vincent-d’Indy Inter-student Competition.

Frédéric Issid is a dedicated pedagogue whose students have won several first prizes and performed in renowned venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also composed a Canadian work included in the Vincent-d’Indy School of Music curriculum and released an album combining classical and electronic music, available on major digital platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify.
