Ozorak

Native de la Capitale, Suzanne Ozorak a fait ses études musicales en interprétation à l’orgue et en pédagogie musicale en piano à l’université d’Ottawa. Elle a poursuivi ses études au conservatoire de musique de Montréal dans la classe d’orgue de Raymond Daveluy, où elle a obtenu un premier prix. Ensuite, elle s’est perfectionnée auprès de Bernard Lagacé à l’université Concordia, obtenant un diplôme supérieur d’interprétation à l’orgue.

Des stages dans plusieurs pays d’Europe lui ont permis de travailler auprès de grands maîtres de l’orgue tels André Isoir, Daniel Roth, Marie-Claire Alain, Michel Chapuis, Ferdinando Tagliavini et Montserrat Torrent. Elle s’est perfectionnée dans l’art de l’improvisation avec Tobias Willi et Emmanuel Le Divellec, en Suisse.

Son dernier disque enregistré sur le magnifique orgue de Saint-Martin de Dudelange au Luxembourg nous présente des pièces du répertoire symphonique pour orgue.

Suzanne Ozorak s’est fait entendre dans plusieurs pays d’Europe ainsi qu’au Canada et aux États-Unis. En 2022, elle a été invitée au Festival international de l’orgue dans le Piémont et ensuite à Berne, en Suisse. Au printemps 2023, elle a eu l’occasion de donner un concert sur un orgue espagnol à Panama City au Panama.

En parallèle avec sa carrière organistique, Suzanne Ozorak a travaillé la pédagogie du piano avec Jean-Paul Sevilla et Mme Cynthia Millman Floyd. Ses débuts d’enseignement ont d’abord été au conservatoire d’Ottawa et ensuite à l’université d’Ottawa, et au conservatoire de Montréal. Ses professeurs étaient Gisèle Pépin et Madeleine Bélanger. Elle enseigne depuis son studio chez elle en Montérégie. Elle est affiliée à l'école de musique Vincent-d’Indy depiis 2012. Elle est aussi accompagnatrice pour la chorale des Troubadours de LaSalle.

She then refined her skills with Bernard Lagacé at Concordia University, obtaining an advanced diploma in organ performance.

Internships in several European countries allowed her to work with major organ masters such as André Isoir, Daniel Roth, Marie‑Claire Alain, Michel Chapuis, Ferdinando Tagliavini and Montserrat Torrent. She further developed her improvisation skills with Tobias Willi and Emmanuel Le Divellec in Switzerland.

Her most recent recording, made on the magnificent organ of Saint‑Martin in Dudelange, Luxembourg, features works from the symphonic organ repertoire.

Suzanne Ozorak has performed in several European countries as well as in Canada and the United States. In 2022, she was invited to the International Organ Festival in Piedmont and later in Bern, Switzerland. In spring 2023, she had the opportunity to give a concert on a Spanish organ in Panama City, Panama.

Alongside her career as an organist, Suzanne Ozorak studied piano pedagogy with Jean‑Paul Sevilla and Cynthia Millman Floyd. She began teaching at the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau, then at the University of Ottawa and the Conservatoire de Montréal. Her teachers were Gisèle Pépin and Madeleine Bélanger. She has been teaching from her home studio in Montérégie and has been affiliated with the Vincent‑d’Indy School of Music since 2012. She is also accompanist for the Troubadours de LaSalle choir.
