History

Formerly a part of the « N.D.G. Arts and Letters Festival » the Montreal Classical Music Festival has been in existence for more than 50 years. Each year it draws an increasing number of participants as well as attracting a greater public audience.

Since 2000, the Q.M.T.A. has assumed directorship of the Festival, a responsibility which for many years was cared for by Mrs. Milda Ruffo. It is hoped that this important event will become a mainstay on the cultural calendar of the Borough of Verdun.

Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category. Please note that some age categories may be grouped together according to the number of registered candidates. Bursaries and trophies will be awarded to certain students based on jury recommendations.
